On Saturday one of our stable favourites Who Shot Suzy travelled to Murtoa and took her place in the BM64 1100m. Her form this preparation had been terrific and Simon was very confident we’d found the right race get the win on the board and plot a path back to city racing.
Suzy bounced nicely from the good draw with Tatum Bull riding her confidently sitting outside the leader and then taking control of the race at the 800m mark bowling along in front. She travelled beautifully to the turn and the tight turning Murtoa track allowed Tatum to steal a race-winning break on the bend and it was all over very quickly with Suzy bounding away to score a comfortable win.
A much deserved victory for Suzy who will now target some nice races at Moonee Valley and Cranbourne across the summer months. A special mention to Tatum Bull, who also brought up her 100th winner. Congratulation to the team at Donald’s Racing and we look forward to seeing what Suzy can do this preparation.
