HORSE PROFILE
We hit the ground running at Inglis Classic, purchasing Lot 5 from Arrowfield Stud in the opening minutes of the sale for just $50,000.
This filly is by 3 x G1 winner Hitotsu out of Fast Eva (Fastnet Rock).
Hitotsu needs little introduction, having won an G1 Australian Guineas, G1 ATC Derby and G1 Victoria Derby during his racing career. A stayer who possessed a great turn of foot, this son of Maurice has his first progeny being offered at the sales this season and we were impressed with what we saw.
She is from a Fastnet Rock mare Fast Eva who has already produced a winner from her only runner and is herself a daughter of multiple stakes winner Graceful Anna.
This filly has a very elegant walk, Simon was impressed with her presence and sees her as an athletic filly who can develop into a lovely Oaks style horse as a 3YO.

What an outstanding galloper Hitotsu was; successful at half of his eight starts and creating history with the way he went about things.
Precocious enough to contest the Blue Diamond, he went right on with it at three – at consecutive outings recording impressively memorable victories in the VRC Derby, the Australian Guineas and the ATC Derby.
One of the 35 stakes winners and seven Gr.1 winners for the brilliant and versatile Maurice (Japanese Horse Of The Year, a six time Gr.1 winning sire of high class sprinters, milers and stayers), Hitotsu has had his first yearlings attract plenty of attention.
Bred on the same Maurice/Fastnet Rock (high class broodmare sire of 164 stakes winners) cross as the dual stakes winner Danon Ayers Rock, this attractive filly is out of the lightly raced winner Fast Eva – a $400,000 yearling whose first foal is already a winner.
The city placed Fast Eva is out of the Gr.3 winning Canny Lad mare Graceful Anna whose dam is a half sister to the Listed winner Catriona – grandam of the stakes winners She Can Skate and Jyoti.
This is a Golden Slipper producing family, its members including that great race’s winner Sky Watch as well as the Gr.1 miler Hurtle Myrtle and the speedy stakes winners Prince Rubiton, News Alert, Force Apollo, Speedy Leo, Power Beau, Catch The Glory, Apollo’s Flame, Whisper Bay, Indian Thunder, Holyfield and Siranto.
